A highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across the North West is seeking an experienced
Residential Conveyancer
to join their dynamic and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, client-focused firm that combines traditional legal service values with a modern approach.
The successful candidate will handle a full residential conveyancing caseload independently while also working as part of a collaborative department. Youll be the main point of contact for clients and third parties and will play a key role in ensuring high standards of service and client care throughout the transaction process.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary contact for clients in the absence of the Head of DepartmentBuild strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholdersHandle a full caseload of residential conveyancing files, including:Freehold and leasehold sales and purchasesRemortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, Help to Buy, Right to Buy, and shared ownershipPrepare and manage correspondence, contracts, and legal documentationDraft completion statements, redemption statements, SDLT forms, and Land Registry applicationsLiaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other third partiesTake client instructions, prepare contracts, raise and respond to enquiries, examine title, and report on search results and mortgage offersAttend to exchange, completion, and registrationAssist with business development and contribute to the growth of the conveyancing teamSupport the Head of Department and senior colleagues with case management and general legal proceduresMaintain accurate file records, documentation, and case progression via the firms case management system
Essential Skills and Experience
A strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process and technical title issuesExcellent organisational and communication skillsProficient typing ability and strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft WordAbility to manage and progress files independentlyHigh level of attention to detail and client careProactive and professional approach with the ability to work well under pressure
Desirable
A minimum of 4 years experience handling residential conveyancing filesA positive, team-oriented attitude with self-motivation and reliabilityExperience using legal case management systemsStrong interpersonal skills and commercial awarenessCommitted to maintaining client confidentiality at all times
