Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principles Signalling Designer/Verifier to join their rail team. This is a senior position offering technical authority and leadership across a wide range of signalling projects within the UK rail sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant signalling designs, while mentoring teams and ensuring the highest standards are met across all stages of project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee signalling design activities across multiple projects. Ensure design outputs meet all relevant standards, programme milestones, and client requirements. Manage internal teams, subcontractors, and agency resources to deliver on time and within budget. Undertake and check signalling designs in line with your IRSE licence and authority to work. Provide technical authority, guidance, and mentorship to design staff. Support project planning, risk assessment, change management, and client approvals. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment. Support bids and tendering processes by providing design input and technical advice. Requirements: Extensive signalling design experience with strong knowledge of signalling principles and standards. IRSE Principles Designer Licence or IRSE Signalling Design Verifier Licence. HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (Degree desirable). Strong communication and stakeh
