Our client, a leading global bank, is seeking an experienced Monitoring and Observability Lead (Director) to drive the strategic development of its enterprise-wide monitoring, observability and service health capabilities across EMEA. This is a senior opportunity to define the monitoring strategy, establish enterprise standards, enhance operational resilience and drive service reliability across a complex, hybrid technology environment. What you''ll do: Define and deliver the enterprise Monitoring and Observability Strategy, target operating model and multi-year roadmap. Establish enterprise-wide monitoring standards, governance frameworks and service health models across applications, infrastructure, cloud, networks and databases. Drive the adoption of Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), KPIs and service health metrics to improve operational visibility and reliability. Lead enhancements in observability tooling, telemetry, event correlation, alerting, automation and proactive incident detection. Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting to provide actionable insights into technology performance, service availability and operational resilience. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Technology, Infrastructure, Architecture, Cyber Security, Service Management and Operational Resilience.
