Data Science Manager

(This role may also be called Analytics Manager or Marketing Sciences Manager in other research businesses)Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days per week in office)Salary: Up to £65k plus bonus and benefitsType: Full-time, PermanentAre you an experienced data scientist looking to step into a role with real impact and visibility?We’re hiring a Data Science Manager to join a growing analytics team delivering insights across public policy, consumer behaviour and brand strategy.The role is working in a growing market research and consultancy group.This position blends technical depth with consulting and communication skills. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, leading projects and translating data into clear, actionable insights.You’ll work across advanced market research techniques, segmentation, max diff, conjoint, pricing, Turf etc within a collaborative team that values curiosity, learning and innovation.What you’ll be doing:Leading end-to-end data science projects, primarily using survey dataTranslating business questions into analytical solutions with practical impactMentoring junior analysts and supporting team learning and developmentPresenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and engaging wayExploring new approaches, including machine learning and AICollaborating with colleagues across disciplines to design the right solutionsWhat we’re looking for:At least 3 to 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on survey dataProfessional-level proficiency in Python or RStrong understanding of statistical and machine learning methods such as clustering and regressionHands-on experience with segmentation and preferably conjoint analysisAbility to communicate complex methods and results in plain EnglishExperience leading projects and building relationships internally and externallyA collaborative, proactive approach to solving problemsNice to have:Experience or interest in public sector, policy, or current affairsExposure to AI or automation tools and approachesFamiliarity with text analytics, CRM data, forecasting, or behavioural modellingUnderstanding of marketing science methods such as TURF or key driver analysisBackground in a relevant subject such as data science, economics, psychology, or engineering, with a quantitative elementThis role involves much more than just writing code. You’ll be working directly with clients and internal teams, helping shape methodologies, advise on strategy, and bringing insight to life.
