We are currently recruiting for a Labels Coater / Finishing Operator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operative looking to join a stable business offering long-term career progression.

The Role

As a Labels Coater / Finishing Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining coating and rewinding machinery to ensure the production of high-quality label products. You will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, quality standards and health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating coating and rewinding machinery

• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required

• Carrying out routine quality checks and inspections

• Recording production data accurately

• Performing basic maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting tasks

• Supporting production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives

• Loading and unloading materials and ensuring correct stock handling

• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience operating coating, slitting, rewinding or similar converting machinery

• Alternatively, strong mechanical aptitude with manufacturing experience

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Basic numerical skills and the ability to complete production records accurately

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Practical approach to maintenance and fault finding

Desirable

• Experience within labels, packaging, print finishing or manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of manufacturing health and safety procedures

• Experience using production systems or digital reporting tools

• Relevant machine operating or engineering qualifications/training

Working Hours

This is a full-time permanent position working rotating shifts between 6:00am and 10:00pm.

Salary

-32,000 per annum.
