Business Development Representative

Quorum Software is seeking a motivated and collaborative Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel our growth. This role gives you the opportunity to generate pipeline through prospecting while also driving engagement and awareness through events and campaigns.As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for prospects — qualifying leads, supporting events, and helping sales turn early interest into meaningful opportunities. You’ll partner closely with our sales and marketing teams to drive registrations and attendance for industry events, represent Quorum in the field, and deliver valuable insights from the market back into the organization.This is not a siloed position. We’re looking for someone who is energetic, outgoing, and proactive — a strong communicator who thrives on connecting with people, both digitally and in person. Quickly learn Quorum products, effectively communicate the value propositions and be able to react to objections and competitive questionsDevelop and execute a strong prospecting plan of attack that promotes Quorum software through email, phone, and social media outreachAnalyzing internal and external market data and databases with the objective to turn this data into actionable campaigns within specific areas of traditional energy sources and to capture new market share as part of the energy transitionGenerate, evaluate, research, and nurture outbound and inbound leads to become qualified opportunitiesCollaborate with Sales to define and action outbound campaigns, identify key accounts/personas, generate interest, and stimulate opportunitiesConsistently achieve qualified sales opportunity quotas to ensure territory revenue objectives are metDiligently update and maintain CRM with contact, account, and activity informationHelp build awareness of special projects or events across multiple geographiesShadow your Sales counterparts in meetings and other activities to help you acquire the skill you’ll need for the next role on the Quorum sales teamAnd other duties as assignedRequirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or other energy industry related degrees2-5 years of proven outbound business development, software sales, technology/energy consulting or financial analyst experienceFast learner of advanced applications, business workflows and business concepts – to connect and cultivate relationships that convert with our financial and operational prospective customersFamiliarity and willingness to learn and work with consultative sales tactics, processes, and methodologyExperience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is idealExperience with Outreach sales engagement platform ideal but not requiredAdept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExcellent English language communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You should be a great writer, speaker, and listener.
