Job Title: Science Teacher - Maidstone
Pay Rates: andpound;163 - andpound;230 (dependent on experience)
Full-Time, Long-Term Contract andndash; April 2024 andndash; July 2025 andndash; with the possibility of going permanent

Supply Desk are currently seeking an engaging and passionate Science Teacher for a popular Grammar School in Maidstone, known for its excellent reputation and commitment to high academic standards. The role involves teaching biology, chemistry, and physics across Key Stages 3 and 4. There is also potential for the ideal candidate to take on additional responsibilities within the department.

The ideal candidate will:


  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics across KS3-5.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse student abilities.
  • Implement confident and positive classroom management strategies.
  • Use Assessment for Learning (AfL) to monitor and support student progress.
  • Be open to taking on additional responsibilities within the science department.
  • Have experience teaching KS3/4 Science, with a desire to teach KS5 as well.
  • Be an ECT or experienced teacher with a passion for science education.

Requirements:


  • QTS or QTLS status.
  • Recent experience teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with an interest or experience in teaching KS5.
  • Ability to provide professional references reflecting recent teaching experience.
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a detailed CV including a full employment/education history with explanations for any employment gaps.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
