Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of assigned projects. This includes procurement, cost reporting, valuations, payments, pricing contract variations, and handling commercial correspondence. The role will primarily be based at head office with regular site visits, and may include managing a trainee QS depending on the scheme.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial and Contractual ManagementPrepare tender and contract documents, including reviewing client amendments to JCT contracts.Undertake cost analysis for tender returns and feasibility studies.Advise on procurement strategy and prepare procurement schedules.Tender subcontract packages in line with procurement schedules, ensuring scopes and inclusions are clear.Issue internal recommendations for approval with supporting documentation.Provide advice on contractual claims and commercial risks.Manage day-to-day commercial activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures.Cost and Value ReportingMonthly updating of AFR cost value reports, including current costs, end-life predictions, and prelims forecasting.Produce accurate CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliation), cash flow, and value flow reports.Ensure accruals and contingencies are correctly assessed.Prepare monthly subcontract valuations and client valuations.Subcontractor and Supply Chain ManagementAllocate work to subcontractors and manage subcontractor relationships.Ensure procurement documentation is standardised
