Cyber Security Engineer£600 pd via UmbrellaPaddington/Hybrid- 3 days per week in the officeLeading business is looking to bring in a Cyber Security Engineer to help strengthen application and cloud security across a complex technology estate.You''ll work closely with engineering and platform teams to embed security by design, enhance web application protection, improve cloud security posture, and defend against evolving application-layer threats.Key experience required:Hands-on experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Security or Application SecurityStrong knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and API securityExperience with bot mitigation and protection against automated attacksAWS and/or GCP security expertiseUnderstanding of IAM, network security, logging and monitoringAbility to work collaboratively with DevOps, engineering and platform teamsExperience conducting security assessments, threat modelling and risk remediationDesirable:Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva or similar WAF technologiesDevSecOps and secure-by-design practicesAutomation and Scripting experienceSecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+ or equivalentReasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
