Nursery Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for either an existing Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager/ third in charge-who is looking to take the next step in their career, to lead our 40 place independent childrens day nursery and-preschool in Woking.

We focus on working as a team and-delivering the highest quality of childcare and education.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, experience of assisting in managing Ofsted Inspections, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be an inspirational team leader.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of leading and motivating teams
• Experience of managing Safeguarding and Health & Safety
• Experience with Ofsted inspections
• Paediatric First Aid
• Qualified to Level 3 or above in childcare/Early Years.

The Nursery Managers key responsibilities:

• Responsibility for managing the daily running and administration of the nursery
• Compliance to Ofsted regulatory requirements
• Partnership working with parents
• Staff recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, recognising training needs, monitoring training and developing teamwork
• Organising regular staff meetings and training
• Working with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) Curriculum, care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
• Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child''s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere
• Ensuring developmental records and observations are kept
• Ensuring staff adhere to and understand all nursery policy and procedures
• Maintaining staff ratios
• Keeping and monitoring accident, incident and risk assessment records.

• To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate, and advance booking children''s places to the required levels

The-role is all year round, happy to discuss working a 4 or 5 day week. We are open from 7.45 until 6pm Monday to Friday.-
