Inspector (PC-DMIS) - Motorsport Contract Opportunity

A prestigious motorsport organisation is seeking an experienced Inspector with PC-DMIS expertise to join its quality team on a contract basis from November. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a world-class engineering environment, supporting the production of precision components used in elite motorsport applications.

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS software to inspect complex precision-engineered components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to verify dimensional conformity.
• Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections of machined and assembled parts.
• Record, analyse, and report measurement data, ensuring components meet strict tolerance requirements.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and support continuous improvement activities across the department.

• Proven experience as an Inspector within a precision engineering, automotive, aerospace, or motorsport environment.
• Strong working knowledge of PC-DMIS and CMM programming/operation.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced, high-performance team.

• Experience using additional metrology equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, verniers, and surface finish testers.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and controlled documentation processes.
• Previous experience within a high-performance motorsport or advanced manufacturing environment.
