An excellent opportunity to join a leading business to review and audit the current procurement activities and work with the leadership on best practice for the future. This is an interim role, with an immediate start available for 6-9 months. The position is based near Romford and offers hybrid working. Overview of the positions as follows:Review all the businesses current procurement activities, current agreements to provide a through audit of the organisations procurement activities and current contractuial status with suppliers Cultivate strong supplier relationships and negotiate competitive terms with suppliersExtract tangible cost savings across third-party suppliersWork with suppliers to tackle any supplier issues, queries or lapsed agreementsLead discussions with suppliers to gain business insights and reporting to share with he business to drive strategic advantageBuild and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value suppliers. Evaluate supplier offerings to ensure suppliers are aligned to business values and offer good value propositionsRecommend best practice and key business planning elements for the futureWe are looking or the followings skills experience:MCIPS qualification (or working towards) - advantageous but not essentialSignificant experience in procurement within a professional service, insurance or B2B environmentExcellent negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilitiesA strategic mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the bus
