The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machinery to manufacture high-quality components to customer specifications.This role would suit an experienced machinist who is confident working from engineering drawings, maintaining tight tolerances, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.Follow tooling sheets and offline programming instructions.Download, manage and save CNC programs following successful inspection of machined parts.Operate manual machining equipment when required.Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Change tooling and adjust offsets to maintain tolerances and drawing requirements.Monitor product quality and productivity throughout the manufacturing process.Work towards production targets and customer delivery deadlines.Maintain high standards of housekeeping and minimise waste.Follow all health and safety procedures and safe working practices.Identify opportunities for process improvements and continuous improvement activities.Report ..... full job details .....
