Senior Process Engineer CNC Machine Shop Burton Latimer NN15 Up to £60k per annum 33 Days Holiday (including BH), Pension, Career Progression My client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced CNC Machining Process Engineer to join their team. This role would start as a Senior Process Engineer and then progress into an Engineering Manager role in the future. You will be the technical lead for machining: the person who turns a customer drawing or model into a costed, tooled and proven process. The role combines four things: quoting and estimating for the Commercial team, hands-on process and CNC programming work, NPI and quality problem solving, and technical support to Maintenance. Alternative job titles include Manufacturing Engineer and NPI Engineer. This role is commutable from Kettering, Desborough, Wellingborough, Northampton, Corby and Market Harborough. Key Responsibilities - CNC Process Engineer Work with 2D and 3D design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Hypermill) and customer-supplied models Generate Fanuc-based ISO CNC programs manually and/or with CAM software Prove out and run programs hands-on across a variety of CNC control systems Manage timing plans, project goals and budgets Produce Control Plans and FMEAs and define capability requirements Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances (GDandT) Select and procure cutting tools; design or procure special-purpose, multi-function cutting tools in partnership with ..... full job details .....
