Are you an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11). This full-time role will involve providing dedicated support to a child within the nursery setting, helping them stay safe, develop their confidence and access everyday learning activities.

The child is currently unsteady on his feet, so the successful candidate must be attentive, proactive and confident in supporting a young child''s mobility, safety and independence throughout the school day.

Previous nursery experience is essential for this role.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child in the nursery classroom.

• Support the child''s safety and wellbeing, particularly when moving around the setting.

• Encourage participation in play-based learning and nursery activities.

• Promote the child''s confidence, development and independence.

• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to meet the child''s individual needs.

• Follow safeguarding procedures and any agreed guidance relating to the child''s mobility and care.

• Essential: Previous experience working in a nursery setting.

• A caring, patient and nurturing approach.

• Experience supporting young children with their physical development, mobility or additional needs would be advantageous.

• Good awareness of health and safety, particularly when caring for young children who may be unsteady on their feet.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A proactive and reliable attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting children''s early development.
