Our client, a well-established housing provider, is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their voids (empty properties) refurbishment-team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience working in residential properties, delivering high-quality decorating and repair work while providing excellent customer service.

The Role

Working across a portfolio of residential properties, you will be responsible for carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating, including filling, sanding and making good.
• Carrying out internal and external decorating works.
• Assessing repair requirements and identifying the most effective solutions.
• Identifying issues such as damp and mould and carrying out appropriate remedial decoration.
• Using mobile technology to receive, update and complete work orders.
• Working safely at all times in line with Health & Safety regulations, COSHH and safe working practices.

Requirements

• Experienced painter/decorator
• Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or domestic repairs is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience using handheld devices or mobile job management systems.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Full UK driving licence.
