Workshop Plant MechanicBury£18-20phFull-time, Permanent About the RoleNEOS Engineering are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Mechanic to join our clients team in Bury. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and machinery used within the waste and recycling industry, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on mobile and static plant, including loading shovels, material handlers, screeners, and shredders.Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime and keep operations running smoothly.Undertake preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.Work on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company and industry standards. Requirements Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter working on heavy machinery.Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.Ability to fault-find and resolve issues independently.Full UK driving licence (essential).Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualifications (preferred, but not essential for the right experience).
