Grounds Maintenance Operative

Pay Rate :-16.07 per hour

We are looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a mobile maintenance team. You''ll be working across a variety of sites within a local region, helping to keep outdoor spaces tidy, safe, and well maintained throughout the year.

• Carry out general grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, weeding, and planting.
• Complete seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, gritting, and snow clearance when required.
• Safely operate a range of grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, strimmers, and blowers.
• Follow site-specific schedules and instructions to maintain high standards of work.
• Communicate professionally with customers and members of the public.
• Use a mobile app to update job statuses and upload photos of completed work.

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or gardening is preferred.
• Basic plant knowledge and practical horticultural skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are desirable.

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am - 4:00pm (hours may vary seasonally)

• Immediate start available.
• Initial contract until the end of October, with the opportunity for a permanent position subject to business requirements.
