Inside IR35Must be SC eligibleData Engineer - Talend/Denodo/Oracle RDS Data Engineer with strong ETL development experience required to join a large-scale data engineering project on a long-term contract. The role is based in the West Midlands, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring 2 days per week in the office, offering competitive contract rate. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Talend ETL jobs, data virtualisation views and Oracle database artefacts. Support data extraction, integration and transformation activities using established development frameworks. Enhance CI/CD pipelines and support automated testing and deployment processes. Investigate and resolve defects identified during development and testing. Conduct component testing, support QA and performance testing, and assist with production releases and post-release support. Review technical deliverables and provide guidance and support to junior engineers. Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions. Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Talend and ETL development. Experience with Denodo and data virtualisation. Practical experience with Oracle databases, SQL and DDL. Experience working with AWS. Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, testing and production support. Experience with Pentaho or Informatica would also be considered.
