Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Planned Works
Wimbledon (1–2 days per week in the office)

The Company
Our client is a privately-owned property services contractor specialising in social housing planned works, including kitchen & bathroom installations, void refurbishments, cyclical/planned maintenance, and external repairs. The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be working across a variety of social housing projects, ensuring they are delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest standards. You’ll play a key role in commercial management, from procurement to final account, and will liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate, and manage project budgets and cost plans

• Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration

• Carry out valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports

• Liaise with clients, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the social housing sector

• Strong knowledge of kitchen & bathroom programmes, void refurbishments, planned works, and external repairs

• Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and cost control processes

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills

• Proficient in MS Office (including Excel) and relevant estimating tools

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
