Location: Hertfordshire (covering London, the Home Counties and surrounding areas)
Salary: -55,000+ per annum (DOE)

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist integrator delivering high-end residential smart home and integrated technology projects.

This senior technical role is responsible for the commissioning, programming, optimisation and final delivery of luxury residential systems. The successful candidate will be a highly competent Crestron programmer with strong KNX experience, excellent networking skills, and a proven track record working within the super-prime residential sector.

This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the UK''s most prestigious smart home installations, delivering exceptional technology experiences for discerning clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning and handover of high-end residential smart home projects.
• Program, configure and troubleshoot Crestron control systems.
• Commission and program KNX lighting and building control systems.
• Configure and commission residential networking infrastructure, including routers, switches and wireless systems.
• Integrate and optimise multiple smart home technologies within a unified platform.
• Conduct system testing, fault finding and performance optimisation.
• Commission and calibrate audio-visual systems.
• Produce commissioning reports and project documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams.
• Work closely with Project Managers, clients, designers and subcontractors throughout project delivery.
• Ensure all systems are fully operational and meet client expectations prior to handover.

Essential Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong Crestron programming experience.
• Good working knowledge of KNX programming and commissioning.
• Advanced IT and networking skills.
• Experience commissioning integrated smart home systems within the custom installation (CI) industry.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good understanding of residential AV systems and technology integration.

Industry Experience

• Proven background within the custom installation (CI) or luxury residential technology sector.
• Experience delivering high-end or super-prime residential projects.
• Ability to independently manage the commissioning process from start to finish.

Desirable Experience

Experience with some or all of the following:

• Lutron
• Control4
• Savant
• Multi-room audio systems
• Audio-visual calibration
• CCTV and security systems
• HVAC and environmental controls

Highly Desirable

• Crestron Certified Programmer status.
• Crestron Masters certification.
• Experience with SIMPL#, C#, HTML5 and advanced Crestron development.
• KNX Partner certification.
