SEN Teaching Assistant
Role - 1:1 Support (ASD)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term

We are looking for a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a boy with ASD at a specialist secondary setting in the Bushey area. This is a full-time role, supporting a pupil on an individual basis to help him access learning and thrive both in and out of the classroom.

About the Role:

• Working closely 1:1 with a teenage boy with ASD, supporting him throughout the school day.

• Encouraging participation in lessons and supporting his social and emotional development.

• Building trust and consistency, helping him to feel secure and confident in school.

• Supporting behaviour management strategies and encouraging independence where possible.

• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to provide tailored approaches that meet his needs.

What We''re Looking For:

• Experience working with teenage boys is essential - this can be from education, youth work, sports coaching, care, or similar.

• Patience, empathy, and resilience to build strong relationships.

• A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEN, particularly ASD.

• Flexibility and reliability - able to work as part of a team but confident supporting independently.
