The successful Tool Designer will have previous experience in mould tool design, as well as engineering and polymer knowledge. Job Summary: As a Tool Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mould tools ranging from 0.5t to 3.5t, working with a variety of materials and technologies. The role involves both new design and redesign work, as well as troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Responsibilities for Tool Designer: Design mould tools using SolidWorks and VISI CAD Work with materials including Ali, P20, and H13 steels Develop unscrewing, complex, and standard mould tooling Conduct Moldflow analysis and DFM (Design for Manufacture) Produce DFM reports for customers and internal use Support tool costing (desirable) Troubleshoot tooling and resolve design/manufacturing issues Carry out CAD modelling, redesign, and optimisation work About You: Minimum 5 years experience in mould tool design Strong engineering and polymer knowledge Proven experience with CAD design and modelling Experience working with complex moulds Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively 3D printing
