Construction Rail Engineer (CRE) - Immediate Start Based in Bristol Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Contract / Freelance £(Apply online only) per day About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Construction Rail Engineer (CRE) to join our team on a major rail infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of engineering and construction activities, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards, project specifications, and industry best practices. Responsibilities: - Fulfil the duties of the nominated CRE in accordance with Network Rail governance and standards. - Lead and coordinate all construction engineering activities across the project lifecycle. - Ensure all works are planned, managed, and delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements. - Review, assess, and approve construction methodologies, work package plans, engineering deliverables, and technical documentation. - Provide engineering leadership to site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. - Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, delays, and cost impacts, implementing mitigation measures where necessary. - Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, relevant legislation, industry regulations, and company procedures. - Manage engineering interfaces between disciplines including civil, track, signalling, EandP, and telecoms where applicable. - Attend and lead engineering, ..... full job details .....
