Electrical Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to work on a permanent basis in St Helens. The role is working for a global manufacturing company. The shifts for the Electrical Maintenance Technician are Monday to Friday; 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm (No nights). Salary is c 40-50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus 25 days'' holidays, company bonus, healthcare, pension etc. Duties for the Electrical Maintenance Technician: Key Responsibilities Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical production equipment. Diagnose electrical faults on machinery including motors, sensors, control panels, PLCs, drives, and automation systems. Carry out mechanical repairs and adjustments as required, including work on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and general plant equipment. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise operational disruption. Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and production lines. Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed safely and in compliance with company procedures and industry regulations. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and equipment records. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to reliability and efficiency projects. Support cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering.
