Sessional Lecturer - Geography, Travel and Tourism
Please note that this post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026.The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a Sessional Lecturer with expertise in Geography to lead the delivery of A-level Geography. In addition, there may be opportunities to teach on a variety of vocational programmes across the curriculum area, including BTEC and NCFE qualifications at Levels 1, 2 and 3, such as Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Aviation and Cabin Crew, depending on the successful candidate''s experience.The courses are predominantly coursework based and therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. Following our agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work. Undertake assessment, internal quality assurance and standardisation activities in line with awarding body requirements and support external quality assurance processes as required.We would like you to hold a degree or professional qualification in Geography, Travel and Tourism, Tourism Management, Aviation Management or a closely related discipline, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education. You will have excellent teaching skills and substantial relevant teaching experience on A-level
