Job Title: QC Engineer - E&I
Location: Reading
Rate: -45/hr (Outside IR35)
Clearance: SC clearance desirable; must be eligible to obtain

A leading contractor working on a high-profile project in a regulated sector is seeking an experienced QC Engineer (E&I) to support ongoing site-based activities in Reading.

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements across Electrical & Instrumentation scope

• Support provision of Lifetime Quality Records, System Information Sheets, and O&M documentation

• Liaise with project, construction, commissioning teams, and third-party inspectors

• Provide technical support for E&I quality matters and inspections

• Maintain documentation within the company''s Business Management System

• Raise Continuous Improvement Forms and support root cause analysis

• Promote quality improvements and support completions team meetings

• Contribute to a strong HSE culture on site

• Strong E&I and QC background

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001

• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics

• Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas)

• Proficient in MS Office

• Good communication and reporting skills

• C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection

• CSCS card (essential)

• Current SC clearance (desirable) or eligible to obtain
