Our client are a small Engineering Consultancy based in Reading. The companies approach is to apply Engineering to Service Support for IT systems and infrastructure. Taking a Systems Engineering approach to Service Support over the full lifetime of a system. The primary focus is to influence the design of a system, through consideration of individual elements all working collaboratively, making it as supportable as possible to reduce the whole life cost across the predicted lifespan. Key Responsibilities:Supporting the design and delivery of IT system service solutionsWorking under the guidance of Project Leads to develop skills and knowledge in Systems Engineering and Service SupportUtilising creativity and initiative towards problem solvingEngaging in client-facing activities at customer sites across the UKApplying predictive systems modelling and failure analysis during design phasesConducting continuous monitoring and trending analysis during service operationJob Requirements:Systems Engineering qualificationQualified to degree level (2:1 or above)Excellent interpersonal skillsExperience with MS OfficeAble to achieve SC level UK security clearanceUK Driving LicenceDesirable Skills:Maths A-Level or equivalentUnderstanding of MS Excel analysis techniques
