Head of Project Delivery

We''re supporting a rapidly growing technology business delivering innovative infrastructure solutions to public-sector customers across the UK.

As part of continued growth, we''re seeking an experienced delivery leader to join an established operational leadership team and help oversee the successful implementation of technology-based projects and customer solutions across a diverse portfolio of clients.

This role would suit an experienced Project Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager, Service Delivery Manager or Head of Delivery who enjoys working at the intersection of customers, operations and technology.

The Opportunity

Working closely with customers, technical specialists and internal delivery teams, you''ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully from initiation through to implementation and handover.

You''ll be responsible for leading a team of Project Managers and PMO professionals, driving high-quality delivery standards, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring projects remain on track from both operational and commercial perspectives.

This is a highly visible position requiring strong communication, organisation and influencing skills rather than deep technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers and PMO staff.
• Act as a senior point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive successful delivery of technology implementation and deployment projects.
• Coordinate resources, schedules, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Ensure effective project governance and delivery controls are maintained.
• Support forecasting, planning and reporting activities.
• Work closely with technical, operational and commercial teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes and customer experience.

About You

• Strong project, programme or delivery management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Experience leading teams within project, service delivery or operational environments.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent project delivery methodology experience).
• Experience delivering technology, infrastructure, software, telecommunications, security, public-sector or related projects.
• The ability to act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
• This role requires occasional travel to Swansea area

Desirable Experience

• Technology implementation or deployment environments.
• CCTV, security systems, surveillance, smart infrastructure or related technology sectors.
• Public-sector or local authority customers.
• Service delivery and operational governance experience.
