Your Role as a Field Service and Calibration Engineer

• You''ll be field based, covering the UK with very occasional international travel.
• You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair a range of metallurgy and measurement systems, including Hardness Testing, scales, measures and others.
• You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others.
• You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and always maintained to ISO/IEC 17025 and ASTM standards.
• Compile detailed reports as appropriate.
• Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.

• The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 - 2 per week.

Ideal Background for the Field Service and Calibration Engineer Position

• You''ll need experience in the calibration of lab-based equipment.
• Either as a current service engineer, or as somebody using the machinery in a lab.
• A strong engineering understanding is essential in mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Approachable, honest, and a team player.

• Strong IT and communication skills.
• Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can''t be provided.

• -33,000 - -38,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
