NEW TA ROLE IN COVENTRY!

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in CV3, Coventry, providing 1:1 support to a child with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, patient and committed individual who is passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide tailored academic, social and emotional support to the child throughout the school day.
A key requirement for this role is that the successful candidate must be able to speak Guri, enabling them to communicate effectively with the child and support their understanding and engagement with classroom learning.

WHAT WOULD THIS ROLE INVOLVE!

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EAL pupil throughout the school day.
* Help the pupil access and understand classroom learning and activities.
* Use Gujarati alongside English, where appropriate, to support communication and understanding.
* Encourage the pupil''s confidence, independence and participation in school life.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SEN/EAL staff to implement appropriate support strategies.
* Provide encouragement and reassurance to help the child settle into the classroom environment.
* Support the pupil''s social and emotional development as well as their academic progress.
* Monitor and communicate relevant observations regarding the child''s progress and engagement.
* Promote an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment.
