Sapien are looking for a Test Technician to join an established engineering and technology business operating within a specialist manufacturing environment. This role will involve testing, inspecting and repairing electronic products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards before reaching customers. You will be responsible for carrying out functional testing, diagnosing faults and completing component-level repairs to Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs). You will also inspect customer-returned products, identify non-conformances and ensure all testing and repair activities are accurately documented. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance. Key Responsibilities Test and inspect newly manufactured and customer-returned electronic products to ensure they meet required specifications. Carry out functional testing using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) equipment. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), including component-level fault finding. Identify, record and report product defects and non-conformances in line with quality procedures. Quarantine products that do not meet required standards and ensure issues are escalated appropriately.
