Billing Administrator
My client a legal firm are seeking a Billing Assistant to support our finance function, particularly in the areas of billing, estimating, and reporting. Reporting directly to the Billing Manager, this role involves assisting in the delivery of comprehensive billing services and supporting a wide range of billing activities. Day-to-day of the role: Bill Processing: Ensure prompt and accurate production of all bills, adhering to VAT rules and standards.Assist in processing write-offs of unbillable time and disbursements.Handle inter-folio transfers and prepare soft copy bills for distribution.Liaise with fee earners to resolve billing queries and support the E-Billing process. Reporting Services: Prepare Work in Progress and Costs Incurred reports for clients and fee earners.Provide billing information to fee earners upon request. Other Duties: Assist in systems testing and support other system change-over activities.Provide cover for team absences due to holidays or sickness.Keep the Billing Manager informed of work status and any encountered problems, offering solutions.Assist with administrative duties and suggest improvements to billing procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Excel.Understanding of VAT rules related to billing is desirable.Excellent arithmetic, written, and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail and previous experience in a partnership environment preferred.Confident, organized, and able to handle interac
