Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing company supplying specialised equipment to global industrial markets, is looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their busy team. You will be responsible for building and assembling a wide range of special-purpose machinery to high engineering standards. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and a practical mindset.You will play a key part in ensuring the products are built to the highest quality, working both independently and collaboratively within a supportive and fast-paced environment.The responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter include but are not limited to:Assemble components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.Build small sub-assemblies through to full mechanical sections.Fit bearings, taper-lock pulleys, gears and related components.Install pneumatic and hydraulic pipework.Carry out quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards and maintain a safe, clean work area.Skills, Experience and Key Candidate Attributes of the Mechanical Fitter:Fully time-served mechanical fitter with a recognised mechanical engineering qualification.Strong ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.Confident with hand tools and power tools.Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.A team player with clear communication skills and a positive, professional approach.Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday -
