Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Role PurposeThe Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned, predictive and reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure optimum efficiency of all machinery and plant requirements are met. Involvement in all mechanical activities on a day-to-day basis, current projects, and future projects.Key activities and ResponsibilitiesPerform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance in a timely manner, whilst adhering to safe working proceduresAttending breakdowns, fault finding and conducting rectifications of faultsPerform preventative maintenance inspection (PM), diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including pumps, centrifuges, screw conveyors, gearboxes, milling equipment, pulleys, shafts, bearing and beltsPerform Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) and greasing schedulesInvolvement in the testing, improvement and maintenance of manufacturing processes and infrastructureWork in conjunction with contractors/vendor service teams when more specialised skills are requiredSupport the implementation of a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) of all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipmentWork towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentalityAssist with all other site service requirements as they ariseTake Health, Safety and Environmental ownership of yourself, others and activities within your areas of responsibility and raising all HSE concerns you become aware of, outside your areas of responsibility,
