Fabricator Welder Roles and Responsibilities: Fabricating and welding structural steel components to detailed engineering drawingsCarrying out MIG and MMA welding to a high standardCompleting full penetration butt welds and multi-run fillet weldsWorking with a variety of steel grades and thicknessesReading and interpreting detailed engineering drawingsSetting up and using welding, burning and fabrication equipmentUsing oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting equipmentCarrying out jig work and ensuring components are accurately fabricatedWorking in line with relevant welding codes, standards and quality requirementsMaintaining a safe and tidy working environment Fabricator Welder Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working as a Fabricator, Welder or Fabricator/WelderMinimum of 2 years'' post-qualification experience with MIG and MMA weldingAble to confidently read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience carrying out full penetration butt welds and multi-run filletsGood understanding of welding codes and standardsExperience using oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting equipmentExperience with jig work and structural steel fabricationA formal apprenticeship or qualification in Fabrication/Welding is desirable Fabricator Welder Working Hours and Benefits: Monday to ..... full job details .....
