Senior Estimator

A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. Senior Estimator roles and responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify project requirements and risks.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accurate pricing.
• Develop cost plans, budgets and value engineering solutions.
• Liaise with operational, commercial and design teams throughout the bid process.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and tender interviews.
• Manage multiple tender opportunities simultaneously while meeting submission deadlines.

Senior Estimator requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior Estimator or experienced Estimator working for a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating and tendering procedures.
• Experience pricing public sector, education, healthcare, residential or commercial projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
