We are recruiting for a Field Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist engineering business supporting customer maintenance operations across multiple sites. The main workshop is based in Witham; however, this role is primarily site-based working directly at customer facilities.Working Hours: Standard hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, however working hours may vary between 6:00am - 6:00pm depending on customer operational requirements and shutdown schedules.About the RoleThis is a hands-on engineering position involving travel to industrial and production facilities across the South East, East Anglia and London, with occasional Midlands work requiring overnight stays. Work patterns may vary depending on production shutdowns and customer operational hours.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical maintenance, servicing and rebuilds of conveyor systemsFault finding and repair of mechanical componentsAssisting with installation and upgrades of conveyor equipmentSupporting breakdown response and planned maintenance workWorking alongside site maintenance teams as part of their engineering supportInterpreting engineering drawings and technical documentationEnsuring work is completed safely and in line with site proceduresProviding clear job feedback and reporting after site visitsThe Ideal CandidateApprentice-trained Mechanical EngineerExperience working on conveyor systems or similar material handling equipmentBasic electrical knowledge (desirable)Experience within FMCG or fast-paced production env
