Consortium Professional Recruitment is proud to support our client in their search for an experienced Overhead Line Senior Design Engineer. Based in London, you will be a key part of a dynamic project team developing end-to-end engineering solutions from feasibility to detailed design for transmission and distribution projects (33kV and above).This is a leadership role, offering involvement in all phases of designfrom concept to implementation. You will guide design delivery, ensure technical excellence, support junior engineers, and manage project and quality standards while working closely with internal stakeholders and external clients.This permanent, full-time role is ideal for professionals with a civil, mechanical, or electrical background who are seeking greater project responsibility, leadership opportunity, and exposure to national infrastructure work.Key Responsibilities:Lead technical delivery of OHL projects, including structural and foundation designPrepare and review design reports, specifications, and calculationsManage design teams and mentor junior engineersEnsure compliance with CDM, HandS legislation, and industry standards (e.g. BS EN 50341)Liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure programme and design qualitySupport budget planning, scheduling, and resource forecastingKey Requirements:Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical EngineeringStrong experience in OHL design (33kV and above)Working knowledge of PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, or equivalentExperience in leading design teams and managing deliverablesFamiliarity with national grid and utility client standardsConfident communicator with project ownership experienceSalary and Benefits:Competitive salary, reflective of experienceLong-term progression and leadership opportunitiesWork on nationally significant engineering projectsSupportive, collaborative and technically excellent environmentConsortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
