Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, focusing on your core trade discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems (plant, air handling, alarms, catering, water, etc.).

Diagnose faults, source materials/spares, and maintain accurate work records.

Operate, monitor, and fault-find using the Building Management System (BMS).

Participate in on-call rota and respond promptly to urgent tasks.

Act as Competent Person for Medical Gases and Legionella (training provided).

Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety, COSHH, and company procedures.

Liaise effectively with managers, Trust staff, subcontractors, and patients to support safe operations.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.

Proficient in using and interpreting Building Management Systems (BMS).

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to health and safety, hygiene standards, and compliance procedures.

Flexible, reliable, and willing to participate in on-call rota and training.

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to minimizing downtime and costs.
