Quantity Surveyor Construction and Specialist Projects Bristol / Portsmouth Permanent Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to take ownership of the commercial management of projects within a specialist construction environment? We are recruiting on behalf of an established contractor delivering technically demanding projects across the UK, including work within highly regulated and secure environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing commercial team, working closely with operational colleagues and clients to ensure projects are delivered commercially and contractually successfully. The preferred base for this position is Bristol, although applications from candidates based in or around Portsmouth will also be considered. The role will involve occasional travel to project locations, with the current requirement being approximately two visits per month to Portsmouth, typically involving two days on site. The Role Working closely with Project Managers and senior management, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from inception through to final account. Key responsibilities will include: Managing project costs, commercial risks and value engineering opportunities. Preparing, pricing and negotiating variations and change control.
