The Role We are looking for a dynamic Football Coach to bridge the gap between elite sports coaching and school-based support. This isn''t just about running drills; it''s about using your management skills and sporting authority to engage students who may struggle in a traditional classroom setting. You will represent the Blackpool Academy brand, working within local schools to deliver high-quality coaching while acting as a lead mentor. You will use the discipline and teamwork of football to teach vital life skills: resilience, emotional regulation, and professional conduct. Key Responsibilities In-School Coaching: Deliver structured football sessions that align with the Academy''s philosophy while meeting school PE requirements. Managing Behaviour: Use your coaching "presence" to manage challenging behaviour, using sport as a tool for de-escalation and engagement. Mentorship: Work 1:1 or in small groups with students, helping them transfer the "winning mindset" from the pitch to their academic work. Planning and Assessment: Manage your own session plans and track student progress, providing feedback to both the Academy and school leadership.
