Year 5 Teaching Assistant
About the Role:Reed Education is proud to be working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Crewe to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a temporary basis with potential go permanent.Deliver individualised support to a Year 5 pupil with SEN needs, ensuring they are fully engaged in classroom activities.Implement strategies to support academic progress, emotional regulation, and social development.Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the child''s specific needs.Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to follow the child''s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.Essential RequirementsProven experience supporting children with SEN, ideally on a 1:1 basis.Strong understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain patient, calm, and proactive in challenging situations.A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.Benefits of Working with Reed EducationCompetitive daily pay rates.Access to free CPD training and ongoing professional development.Dedicated consultant support throughout your assignment.Opportunity to work in
