Workshop Machinist

The Workshop Machinist is a hands-on role within the field of mechanical engineering, working either on-site or within our workshop. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical work while ensuring full compliance with company policies on health and safety, quality assurance, and environmental standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other workshop toolsWork from engineering drawings and project instructionsFollow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPEUse and store hazardous substances safely (COSHH compliance)Complete on-site or workshop-based tasks as directedCarry out only tasks within your valid certificationsSupport with other duties as assignedRequirements:Essential:NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or MachiningProven experience in a similar machinist or mechanical fitter roleCompetent in the use of manual machines and toolsValid certification for lifting equipment and abrasive wheelsUp-to-date HandS training (CSCS or CCNSG)Own transport for travel to/from our Dover workshopDesirable:Experience in industrial or heavy engineering environmentsWelding or fabrication knowledgeAbility to read CAD drawingsForklift or overhead crane certificationPay and Overtime: 17.77 per hourOvertime (when required):Weekdays after 6 PM: 1.5xSaturdays: 1.5xSundays: 2x Apply now! if interested apply or contact
