Family Support Worker - Families First Team
I''m working with a client in Durham who is looking for a compassionate and motivated Family Support Worker to join their Families First team.In this role you will support children, young people, and their families by providing early help, practical guidance, and tailored interventions. You will work closely with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild positive, trusting relationships with families.Complete assessments and develop family support plans.Provide early help interventions and practical support.Carry out home visits and outreach work.Work collaboratively with schools, social care, and other local services.Help families develop strengths, resilience, and improved outcomes.Key RequirementsExperience supporting children, young people, or families.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to assess needs and create tailored support plans.Confidence working independently and as part of a multi-agency team.A caring, professional, and solution-focused approach.Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
