We are currently seeking an experienced engineer to join a major steel frame construction project in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on a large and fast-paced build, supporting key groundworks activities on site.

The successful engineer will work closely with the groundworks subcontractor and will play a vital role in ensuring works are carried out accurately and efficiently. The project in Newport is expected to run for approximately 6 months, offering consistent work on a significant steel frame development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for drainage and groundworks packages

• Checking and installing bolt sets for the steel frame structure

• Working closely with the groundworks subcontractor to coordinate works

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings and project specifications

• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the site team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a engineer on construction projects

• Strong background in drainage, groundworks, and bolt set installation

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Experience working with groundworks subcontractors on steel frame projects preferred

• Relevant engineering qualifications and valid CSCS card
