Head of Healthcare

Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Healthcare to join our Healthcare team at HMP Lewes, a local remand category B prison in Lewes.Hours
Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week. On call at weekends once every couple of months on average.Salary
This position is full time, with an annual salary up to £68,000 + £4,000 car allowance, depending on experience.How we will support you

Provide pro-active management of the healthcare services on siteMaintain the strategic direction of the service and deliver agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS EnglandBe responsible for delivering a highly functional clinical service, within the budget, with support from the finance business partner and regional managerForm part of the wider prison senior leadership team, working with other key stakeholders to ensure the contract becomes highly functional and health services become fully embedded with the prison as a wholeEnsure agreed standards are achieved by leading, developing and motivating your team ensuring they receive appropriate supervision and performance appraisalBe the CQC registered manager and implement internal and external policies and procedures, particularly those with statutory implicationsAbout us

Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience and clinical qualificationInclusive leadership approach embedding a culture of continuous progression and innovationAbility to influence and deliver information to key partners and stakeholdersExperience as a CQC registered manager, or equivalent registered bodyExperience managing multifaceted budgetsOther requirements
