We are committed to supporting individuals with learning disabilities to access high-quality care for their difficulties. Our service has developed pathways for Dementia, Epilepsy, and PMLD, with a Mental Health Pathway in progress.We aim to address health inequalities through initiatives like the Primary Care Liaison service and the hospital LD Liaison team. These teams also focus on education, working with Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire People First to deliver sessions to GP Trainees and medical students. We are expanding these teams to enhance capacity and support early intervention and prevention.Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist community psychiatric care to individuals with intellectual disabilities in Pembrokeshire. The role includes:Leading and developing the team and clinical services.Engaging in teaching, research, and clinical governance.Participating in on-call duties (1 in 14 rota).Maintaining professional development and supporting multidisciplinary teams.About us

Qualifications
Full GMC Registration and Licence to PracticeOn specialist register or SpR with CCT within 6 monthsMembership of the Royal College of PsychiatristsCertified advanced life support skillsHigher degree (MD, PhD, MSc) or equivalentClinical Experience
Broad psychiatry experience, including in learning disabilitiesKnowledge of UK hospital systemsExperience in NHS and researchClinical Governance
Participation in clinical audit and risk managementResearch
Experience in evidence appraisal and research publicationTeaching
Experience in organizing medical education and trainingManagement
