Full Time - Ystrad Mynach
Vision for Education is actively seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work alongside pupils with a variety of learning needs in an ALN school situated in Ystrad Mynach. This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role where you’ll have the opportunity to positively impact young lives and help students develop and grow in a supportive learning environment.

The Role:
You will be supporting pupils with various additional learning needs (ALN), including:
- MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
- SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
- ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
- PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties)
- PD (Physical Disabilities)
- EBD (Emotional and behavioural difficulties)
As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to aid learning and development.
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Encourage independence and confidence in students.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and other teaching assistants in smaller class settings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children or young people in an education, care, or support setting.
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
- Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 3) – preferred but not essential!
