Fantastic opportunity to join a market leading and progressive company in the automation and control sector as an Area Sales Manager for Process Control and Automation products.

The Role

As a technical sales engineer / field sales engineer, you will aim to achieve profitable business sales of the process automation range of products and the full product range into existing and new customers throughout the territory, which includes Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

You will be selling into End Users, Panel Builders, System Integrators, OEMs directly and via a Partner Distribution Network, while managing an established customer base and gathering information on potential customers for development.

Comprehensive ongoing product training will be provided to support your success.

Role is field-based, working with the sales team and distribution partners. Location within the territory is flexible; central locations with good road access are ideal.

Candidate / Qualifications

Excellent communicator, negotiator and presenter, with the ability to build lasting relationships with Key Accounts.

B2B field sales experience in control and automation, process automation or process instrumentation as an Area Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager/ Sales Development or Business Development Manager; experience in oil and gas, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy and utilities industries preferred.

Engineering qualification in a relevant subject, such as ONC/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
